It is generally believed that Manchester City will win the English Premier League. Although the Citizens are just one point ahead of Liverpool with just one game to go, it is however widely believed that City will beat Brighton in the last game of the season and win the league even if Liverpool win their own last game of the season against Wolves ( which on its own is a tough challenge ).
Virtually all the bookmakers have Manchester City to win the title now and I doubt there is any pundit out there who remotely thinks City will drop points to Brighton. Off course Brighton managed to nick two points off Arsenal but having earned their spots in the Premier League next season, Brighton’s players are like to be a party mood which will play to City’s advantage. Obviously, Barca has the advantage but never say never. The likes of Steven Gerrard would probably be reminding the players of how the came back from a 3-0 deficit to beat Milan in the final of the Champions league years back. Can the Reds do it? Highly doubtful but we may have a beautiful game of football in our hands should Liverpool manage to score two early goals.
The Reds outplayed Barca in Spain but didn’t take their chances and if they want to stand any chance at all, their attacking players must be at their clinical best. They simply can’t afford to miss chances upon chances as they did in Spain last week.
